What Woodside Nursery School does
Mission
Woodside Nursery School is a cooperative preschool dedicated to providing a nurturing, play-based learning environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in young children. Our mission is to cultivate curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning through meaningful play, family involvement, and community engagement.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
Woodside Nursery School offers half-day preschool programs for children ages 2 through 5, as well as enrichment classes for children ages 4 through 8 that are open to both enrolled and homeschooling families. The school provides developmentally appropriate, play-based instruction focused on early literacy, math readiness, social-emotional learning, and creative exploration. Enrichment sessions expand learning through hands-on experiences in art, science, nature, and creative problem solving. Each class maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio to support individualized attention and a safe, engaging learning environment. During the tax year, the program served 84 children from the local community who attended from September to June.
$152,260 spent100% of program spendingAs a cooperative school, Woodside involves parents as active participants in their childs education. Families assist in the classroom on a rotating basis, support school events, and contribute to the operation of the school through committee work and board leadership. This model fosters a strong sense of community and shared responsibility among families and staff.
The school hosts enrichment opportunities such as field trips, guest visits, and family events that extend learning beyond the classroom. Woodside also engages in local community outreach, including open houses, donation drives, and partnerships with nearby organizations to promote early childhood education and community involvement.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2021, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2021, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $53k to $138k (+160%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2024 12%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
5% of WOODSIDE NURSERY SCHOOL’s revenue is contributions — more earned-revenue than three-quarters of its peers (57% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2021 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income rose $21 → $31.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of WOODSIDE NURSERY SCHOOL’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of WOODSIDE NURSERY SCHOOL's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $87 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
