01What it does

What Women in Christian Ministries does

Mission

To improve the spiritual, social, and intellectual condition of women through the power of God.

As stated on its FY2021 Form 990-EZ.

Program

Dorcas Haven: A transitional living home for women and their children who have left domestic violence or found themselves in difficult situations and need a safe place to start over. WICM provide a home-like atmosphere to rest and recover. This special place provides the space and time for women to heal as they take steps towards new beginnings. WICM staff and volunteers assist women by offering or directly linking them to professional, social and educational resources that they need as they take the necessary steps to become self-sufficient, independent and employed. Specific services WICM offers include counseling and therapy appropriate to their experiences and history which often times includes abuse.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Women in Christian Ministries’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of Women in Christian Ministries's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $144 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
