Program

  1. In 2024 Wild Hearts Haven had a total of 24 horses as part of our program throughout the year. We had an intake rate of 13 horses in 2024 compared to 18 in 2023. We had 10 owner surrenders, 1 transfer from another nonprofit, 1 funded from a local auction, and one that was returned due to no fault off his own. While more minimally handled horses presented a challenge for us, we were able to overcome this buy sending four horses to external trainers to get started under saddle. In the spring of 2024 we received free vaccines through the Unwanted Horse Veterinary Relief Campaign. This allowed us to vaccinate most of our herd with spring vaccines or receive their initial vaccines after intake. 1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of WILD HEARTS HAVEN’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of WILD HEARTS HAVEN's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $105 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
