What Wild at Heart Youth Ranch does
Mission
Wild at Heart Youth Ranch exists to provide a safe environment for at-risk youth and to facilitate healthy growth mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically through mentorship and equine, outdoors, and agricultural related skill development.
As stated on its FY2017 Form 990-EZ.
Program
We served 15 kids a week throughout the spring, fall, and summer and we were able to continue operating on a smaller scale through the winter. We saw growth in the lives and characters of the kids that we serve here. That has been the most rewarding thing for everyone who has walked through the first year of this program. We have continued to develop our programs from horsemanship to gardening to woodworking in order to better suit the needs of the kids. We participated in community events in order to make families in need aware of services geared towards them and through those events we were able to connect with other organizations to build partnerships in an effort to better serve these families. We secured a base of monthly supporters and will continue to grow that base in 2018. We hosted fundraisers, volunteer days, and times of prayer at the ranch.
The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.
Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2022: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $75 → $42.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of WILD AT HEART YOUTH RANCH’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of WILD AT HEART YOUTH RANCH's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $177 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
