01What it does

What Mountain River Youth Ranch does

Mission

To provide a positive, safe, and structured equestrian environment for children; particularly those in crisis, including emotional difficulties, terminally ill, disabled, and disadvantaged, through the interaction with horses.

As stated on its FY2017 Form 990-EZ.

Program

This past year mountain river continued to serve the children of our community and surrounding counties. We provided over a dozen tours to families who were interested in a program for their children or they were interested in volunteering. We facilitated over 40 sessions for all children who desired to come: at-risk, foster, abused, underserved, adopted, autistic, or they just want to spend time with horses. We offered community service hours for the local schools and we now have a half a dozen youth volunteers in addition to our adult volunteers to help with sessions and service projects. In 2017, our volunteers donated over 350 hours and added two festivals, one in the summer and one in the fall for families, friends, and youth. We look to continue to grow, serving more children and their families each year as we team our equine, mentors, volunteers, and children for a time of healing, personal growth, and most of all hope.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of MOUNTAIN RIVER YOUTH RANCH’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of MOUNTAIN RIVER YOUTH RANCH's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $10 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
