01What it does

What Waseca Basketball Association Inc does

Mission

To promote and advance the Waseca Bluejay boys and girls basketball programs. This will be accomplished by taking committed players and providing them with the highest level of competition in order to develop each athlete to his or her fullest potential.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. From October-March we formed age specific teams that practiced at least twice per week (we provided facilities) and participated in numerous competitive games around Southern Minnesota (we provided registration fees). Around 200 youth in grades K-8 participated in the program and over 30 adults volunteered to coach them.

  2. We hosted two local basketball tournaments for grades 4-8 where we invited other towns to come to Waseca and compete against each other. 64 teams participated in the two tournaments which equates to approximately 650 youth athletes and 1,300 spectators in attendance. We provided the costs for facilities and refs.

    $14,847 spent
    28% of program spending
  3. We helped advance the 9-12 boys and girls high school programs in Waseca by providing them financial support whenever they needed help. Over 50 youth participate in these programs each year and the public school is not financially healthy enough to provide all their needs.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Waseca Basketball Association Inc’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of Waseca Basketball Association Inc's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $82 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
