01What it does

What United Hebrew of New Rochelle Certified Home Health Agency Inc does

Mission

High quality home health care services for promoting health and improving the quality of life.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

On its FY2024 return the organization reported a significant change in how it conducts a program.

In october 2024, the organization received approval of its closure plan for its certified home health agency from the new york state department of health. As part of the closure plan, the organization will transfer patients out of its certified home health agency.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 3).

  1. The agency provided certified home health care (chha) to clients in westchester county through october 2024 and was supported primarily by community-based service revenue paid by medicare. Our home health agency was a certified home care services agency, owned and staffed by united hebrew, and extends our award-winning campus of comprehensive care into the community. We brought quality skilled nursing and rehabilitation to your front door with services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week in westchester county and the greater new york city area. Our job was to help patients smoothly transition from the hospital or nursing facility to the comfort of their own homes.

2 of 4 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 81% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of UNITED HEBREW OF NEW ROCHELLE CERTIFIED HOME HEALTH AGENCY INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

UNITED HEBREW OF NEW ROCHELLE CERTIFIED HOME HEALTH AGENCY INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 54% of grant income and the top three 92%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

92% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund UNITED HEBREW OF NEW ROCHELLE CERTIFIED HOME HEALTH AGENCY INC.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $105k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
