$0 spentTwist and Shout continued to grow as an organization in 2024. We worked in more schools teaching chess, dance, fitness and bicycle mechanics. We also needed to hire more instructors to handle the class load. In addition to school programs, we ran several summer camps in chess, fitness and bicycle mechanic training. We also worked with several local artists to create a song writing class. Our hard work paid off and we attained a grant to do a song writing program in 2025.
$0 spentIn 2025 we expanded our services working with new organizations and offering new classes, and ultimately reaching more students. We created a new music production and song writing class where we worked with local artists and a recording studio. We also added a technology component to our creative offering when we did a summer camp that focused on animation and story telling utilizing AI prompts to help write the story. Our chess teams did well with one school winning the team city championship. We organized a chess tournament with the Catholic schools that we coach at. We continue to network with teachers, artists and role models that can help us expend into new areas in 2026.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2021, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2021, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $5k to $16k (+189%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
5% of TWIST AND SHOUT SCHOOL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS’s revenue is contributions — more earned-revenue than three-quarters of its peers (78% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2022: the base held at 1 funder, grant income held at $5.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of TWIST AND SHOUT SCHOOL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of TWIST AND SHOUT SCHOOL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $15 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
