Programs
Game night - outreach to the community by playing bingo, dances, and providing meals for all who attend. Serving an average of 130 presons, our prior year was approximately 120 persons. We have paired with st ignatius loyola catholic church to host our game night events; the room we host our events in has a possible capacity of 200. As we have grown, st ignatius has given us the availability of a larger room.
$879,097 spent$918,066 earned by the program100% of program spendingRespite - outreach to the community to provide four hours for parents where they drop off the special needs person and siblings so they may enjoy four hours of rest and relaxation without the burden of caregiving. We were unable to provide 1 respite, though our turnout was very low-we only had 6 treasure families served.
Special olympics - we participated in special olympics bowling and sponsored approximately 30 athletes. We did not participate in bocce ball or track & field this year. We are trying to build our team back to pre-covid levels.
Joyful learning individual skills and socialization - a day activity and vocational learning program serving approximately 115 adults with intellectual disabilities. The prior year we served approximately 71 adults. We have opened a second location to accomodate the growth in our community.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $114k to $349k (+206%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2023 9% · 2024 5%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
7% of TREASURES OF JOY’s revenue is contributions — more earned-revenue than three-quarters of its peers (91% for the typical peer).
Surplus & reserves

Who funds it, year by year
2018 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 5 funders, grant income rose $1k → $70k.
3 of 6 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 24% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of TREASURES OF JOY’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
TREASURES OF JOY leans on a few funders — its largest provides 33% of grant income and the top three 79%; half comes from just 2 funders.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left
56% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund TREASURES OF JOY.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2018 100% · 2019 62% · 2020 82% · 2021 64% · 2022 99% · 2023 63% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of TREASURES OF JOY's grant income comes from Texas funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $64k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
