The women's team were the 2010 and 2012 ncaa national champions. In the past year, approximately 72 undergraduate women participated in the university of virginia women's crew program. The women's crew program provided scholarships to numerous athletes, and had a coaching staff of five coaches. Vra also helped to interest and to instruct community members in the sport of rowing and received financial support for the men's and women's rowing programs by renting space in the boathouse to a local public high school, and to the local community rowing program for boat storage, and provided them with access to the water by way of the dock facilities owned and maintained by the vra. During the last year, approximately 100 people from the community participated in these high school and local rowing programs. Some of those individuals provided financial assistance and in-kind support to vra by assisting at regattas, housing visiting rowers, maintaining the grounds of the vra property, and serving as officers and directors of vra.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $186k arriving through sponsors registered in 5 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
