01What it does

What The Gem Center does

Mission

The Gem Center is an academic, social-emotional & safe learning center for children with high functioning autism & co-occurring social-emotional & behavioral challenges using evidence-based, integrated in&terdisciplinary programming to ensure learners reach their full potential.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. The Gem Center provides learning opportunities for students with level 1 autism and additional, co-occurring social-emotional challenges (adhd, anxiety, etc). Many of our learners have not yet had consistent success in a traditional learning environment, and excel when their education and social-emotional needs are met. A typical gem learner thrives in an individualized, low-ration environment and blossoms when their unique strengths and special interests are integrated into their day. Our learners flourish when they are celebrated, challenged, and find meaning and purpose in their activities. The Gem Center has grown its enrollment.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of THE GEM CENTER’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of THE GEM CENTER's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $851 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
