01What it does

What Table Pounding Music Inc does

Mission

Our mission is to foster dialogue and connection through the arts, serve as a cultural resource to different communities, and to develop, promote and sustain music and inter-disciplinary productions. This includes the creation of music that promotes cross-cultural and cross-generational dialogue, and initiatives to make it accessible to global audiences, whether through record releases, online platforms, or live performances around the world. It also includes educational initiatives/activities that foster and promote bridge-building and understanding between different communities through the arts.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. Touring musical projects: table pounding undertook four musical tours of different projects in 2024, reaching over 15 000 people through their public concerts on three separate projects. The good vibes explosion tour had 7 concerts, including live radio broadcast; traditions without borders had two separate tours with one show each; and krakauer & tagg had one concert as part of a new york residency.

  2. Recording: a new album was recorded in a one-day session in new york city, for release in 2025. As the album has not yet been released, measurable outcomes will only be available in 2025. However, based on previous releases, which have been highly covered in the press, and often awarded major prizes, we anticipate that this release will reach tens of thousands of listeners.

  3. Musical project creation: work was started in 2024 on new work that will be premiered in 2025, and on the technical support needed for the work to be presented. We anticipate that this work, once premiered, will see many future performances over multiple years.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of TABLE POUNDING MUSIC INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of TABLE POUNDING MUSIC INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $15k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
