The first key area is to reduce the number of animals entering our shelters by preventin unwanted litters from being born. By minimizing shelter overcrowding, we reduce the number of euthanasia due to space and sickness. The second key are is support of the essential human-animal bond between owners and their pets in our community. By providing basic affordable care for their pets, we will help keep them healthy and in homes where they belong. The third key area is reduce the population of feral cats through tnvr (trap-neuter-vaccinate-release) efforts. We partner with local cat trappers and feral cat programs to help end useless killing of these cats.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of SOUTHWEST FLORIDA SPAY NEUTER SERV’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of SOUTHWEST FLORIDA SPAY NEUTER SERV's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $46k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
