Programs
Schuyler Hospital is a 25 bed acute care facility with critical access hospital status and 24 hour emergency services. It provides a full complement of healthcare services to the public in support of the community need for healthcare close to home, which includes the residents of Schuyler County and its surrounding communities. Medical services in 2023 included 3,281 inpatient days, 27,914 Long Term Care days (decrease due to Unit 1 not open in 2023 -closed for renovations and due to short staffing), 199,738 outpatient procedures and 24,102 physician visits. In 2023 Schuyler Hospital provided $212k in free and reduced cost care through its charity care policy and incurred over $380k in bad debt due to the remaining uninsured and increasing under-insured population in the community.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2019 to 2020, from $43M to $56M (+29%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2017 1% · 2018 1% · 2019 2% · 2020 9% · 2021 6% · 2022 6% · 2023 3% · 2024 2%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
2% of SCHUYLER HOSPITAL INC’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (7% for the typical peer).
