01What it does

What Safe Passage Community Technology Center does

Mission

Safe Passage restores dignity and builds economic self-sufficiency for South Jersey families through integrated programs in food security, housing, and skilled-trades workforce development

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. Safe Passage Community Food Pantry strengthened its role as a vital lifeline for families across Camden and the South Jersey region. Through compassionate service, expanded partnerships, and a commitment to dignity centered care, we provided consistent access to nutritious food and essential household items for our neighbors facing food insecurity and economic hardship. Our pantry served an average of 251 households each month, including 556 adults and 403 children. Demand continued to rise during the summer months when school-based meal programs were unavailable, reflecting the ongoing challenges faced by seniors, and working families who earn above the federal poverty level but still cannot afford basic necessities. With support from the Food Bank of South Jersey and community partners, we distributed thousands of pounds of fresh produce, proteins, shelf-stable goods, diapers, hygiene products, household items, and other critical non-food essentials that families cannot afford on their own.

1 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 0% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

How concentrated its funding is

SAFE PASSAGE COMMUNITY TECHNOLOGY CENTER leans on a few funders — its largest provides 100% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund SAFE PASSAGE COMMUNITY TECHNOLOGY CENTER.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $38 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
