What Rise Egypt Inc does
Mission
To catalyze social entrepreneurship for development in Egypt. A 'Think and Do Tank' model that leverages both data as well as technical assistance and community engagement to help scale up solutions to Egypt's most pressing development challenges such as education, health, the environment, and social inclusion. Leverages the Egyptian diaspora, and a global network of professionals and institutional partners, to provide support for Egyptian social innovators.
As stated on its FY2022 Form 990-EZ.
Programs
LEEP for Collaborative Impact- This year, we built approximately one dozen partnerships with other entrepreneurship support organizations across Egypt, to expand reach of services and democratize access to opportunities for Egyptian social innovators. We also developed an extensive, and searchable, innovation map of Egypt, with opportunities for innovators, researchers and investors to identify who is doing what across the country, thereby increasing collaboration, knowledge exchange, and access to financial capital. This tool also enables policymakers to identify which innovations are addressing which SDG, to meet global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and address Egypt 2030 development targets. Lastly, we participated in several large events at the local, regional, national and global levels, to raise awareness about effective and innovative development solutions in Egypt, and to expand and deepen partnerships.

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of RISE EGYPT INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of RISE EGYPT INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $130 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
