01What it does

What Pur International Inc does

Mission

Pur international provides immediate financial, emotional and physical support to people (orphans and widows) who are dealing with traumatic death situations due to the loss of a spouse or parents. Pur international also provides youth programs for at risk orphans. We have operations going on in the us, uganda and costa rica.

As stated on its FY2019 Form 990.

Program

Pur service is the part of our organization that is focused on helping orphans and widowed families in foreign countries. Currently the focus of pur service is in the african country of uganda, costa rica and haiti. We are working to support the work of several different trusted organizations within uganda that are well established and have already produced positive results. We are also currently working on projects and missions outreach in haiti and costa rica.specifically, pur international set up an office in mukono, uganda. Provided service projects to 300 orphans there by starting a community garden and started planning for a chicken coup that holds 2000 chickens to provide an egg a day to the same group of kids. Built 3 pit latrines for 15 single mothers/15 children. Provided personal hygiene education weekly to 5000 people.we developed a meat processing plant for haitians to buy meat, have access to clean products and have a platform to sell their products. This has provided opportunity for training, business and life skills development in an impoverished group of people. We added programming in costa rica for at risk youth. We have recreational projects, service projects…

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2021 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 2 funders, grant income rose $16k → $173k.

2 of 4 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 96% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of PUR INTERNATIONAL INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

PUR INTERNATIONAL INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 94% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund PUR INTERNATIONAL INC.

Largest funder’s share by year: 2021 100% · 2022 99% · 2023 95% — diversifying over time.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

96% of PUR INTERNATIONAL INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $17k that is directly attributable, 100% of it comes from funders outside Colorado, across 2 states.

Colorado out of state home

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $416k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
