Mission

Provide assistance to those, of all ages, involved in a crisis pregnancy by empowering them to make life choices consistent with the sanctity of human life from conception through natural death.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. Our three main program areas are medical, education/counseling, and material support. Our medical services start with pregnancy tests. If the test is positive, the client will receive an ultrasound for the purpose of confirming and dating the pregnancy. We then refer the client to see a doctor and seek other medical resources. The center also tests for sexually transmitted infections (sti). The tests are offered to men and women (pregnant or not). We also have a mobile unit that goes to surrounding towns to provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and sti testing for clients that don't have transportation to come to the center in jefferson city. The educational services are group classes, one-on-one sessions, and online classes. Classes are on a variety of topics including prenatal care, nutrition and wellness, and parentening at various stages. The center also has a program called sexual risk avoidance. This is taught in middle school classrooms to guide students to make positive choices for sexual health. Counseling services are provided by licensed professional counselors free of charge. Material support includes referals to other agencies, shopping in the baby boutique, and…

1 of 3 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 1% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of PREGNANCY HELP CENTER OF CENTRAL MISSOURI’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. How concentrated its funding is

PREGNANCY HELP CENTER OF CENTRAL MISSOURI leans on a few funders — its largest provides 79% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund PREGNANCY HELP CENTER OF CENTRAL MISSOURI.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $801 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
