01What it does

What Pensacola Symphony Orchestra Guild Inc does

Mission

The pensacola symphony orchestra guild (psog) is a non-profit, charitable and educational organization whose purpose is to promote seasonal pensacola symphony orchestra memberships, increase knowledge and appreciation of music throughout our local community, and to provide opportunities for volunteerism in support of the pensacola symphony orchestra.

As stated on its FY2026 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. We host a monthly luncheon which includes some kind of musical performance, a business meeting, and the meal. These generally raise some funds for the pso. We had 5 major fundraising events during the fiscal year: ferry cruise, holiday market & paddle raise, psc culinary dinner, rhapsody in blue salon concert, and mad hatter's event. These raised a total of 49,582.69. We presented a check to the pso in late may for 51,500, representing the funds raised during the year from special events, memberships, luncheon events, and donations.

  2. We supported the pso's family day by providing volunteers to help with ushering and with guiding children through the instrument "petting zoo." we supported the pso's fifth grade concerts by providing volunteers to help with ushering participants in and out of olive baptist church.

  3. We supported the pensacola youth orchestra by providing refreshments for performers and attendees at their final concert this year. We provide volunteers to guide musicians through the audition process at audition events, and we provide refreshments. For each guest artist that the pso invites to masterworks concerts, we deliver a "welcome" gift bag to their hotel. We serve dinner to the musicians during their friday night rehearsals. We provide refreshments to musicians during concert intermissions.

How concentrated its funding is

PENSACOLA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA GUILD INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 64% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

64% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund PENSACOLA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA GUILD INC.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration.
