What Penny Lane Foal Rescue does
Mission
Penny Lane Foal Rescue is committed to rescuing and rehabilitating medically fragile orphaned foals and weanlings across New Mexico and on the Navajo Nation, providing intensive socialization and foundation skills training, and placing them into loving, forever homes. We are a strong community resource for New Mexicans needing assistance with caring for orphaned and abandoned foals, including those rescued out of roundups and auctions.

Program
Penny Lane Foal Rescue's primary mission is to rescue and rehabilitate medically fragile orphaned foals and weanlings out of roundups, owner surrenders, and rescue transfers across New Mexico and on the Navajo Nation. We provide intensive socialization and foundation skills, geld, vaccinate, and microchip before placing these orphans into their loving, forever homes. We track and support these foals throughout their lives. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating medically fragile Mustang foals. We are the only foal-specific equine rescue in New Mexico and the only equine rescue in the city of Rio Rancho. We also provide education, resources, and assistance for those rescuing orphaned foals across New Mexico and on the Navajo Nation.
