What Pawsitively Saving Animals From Euthanasia does
Mission
The organization maintains a network to provide a range of services to reduce the impact of overpopulation of cats in East Contra Costa County. These services include spay/neuter assistance for pet cats, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for community cats, and taking kittens off the streets and placing them into the organization's foster kitten program, in order to prepare them for adoption.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.
Programs
The Organization has provided over 400 spay/neuters during 2024. Of these, more than 70% were community cats, thereby preventing these cats from reproducing and adding to the overpopulation problem of community cats.
$41,729 spent75% of program spendingThe Organization maintains a network that in 2024 provided foster care for more than 350 kittens. This care included feeding, vaccinations and medical care, and any other resources associated with caring for kittens. (The total expenses associated with kitten care is an estimate.)

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2021, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2021, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $39k to $51k (+32%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 2 of the last 4 reported years ran a deficit.
Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2023: the base narrowed from 2 funders to 1 funder, grant income fell $102 → $47.
1 of 3 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 20% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
PAWSITIVELY SAVING ANIMALS FROM EUTHANASIA leans on a few funders — its largest provides 68% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
PAWSITIVELY SAVING ANIMALS FROM EUTHANASIA draws 100% of its grant income from funders outside California, across 2 states in all.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $241 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
