01What it does

What Oahu Agriculture and Conservation Assoc does

Mission

Support sustainable agriculture and conservation through education, research and partnerships.OACA was founded by a group of long-time farmers, business owners, landowners, and land managers who recognized that there are gaps in the system, wanted agriculture to thrive in Hawaii, and developed this nonprofit to be part of the solution. We operate with an inclusive spirit, welcome partners to support this mission and work collaboratively to advance the sector. Efforts focus on expanding educational resources and programs for producers that advance best management practices.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. During the reporting period, the organization was actively engaged in a merger process and the orderly winding down of operations, including transition planning, coordination with partner entities, fulfillment of outstanding obligations, and administrative close-out activities. There were therefore few program expenses.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $40 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
