The mission of the National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) is to empower scholarship providers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to enhance the impact of scholarships. NSPA fosters a professional community that supports postsecondary success through networking, professional development, and access to best-in-class tools and resources.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

NSPA delivered 161 educational sessions through its annual in-person conference and year-round virtual webinars. $893,771 spent$673,408 earned by the program62% of program spendingIn 2024, NSPA expanded The Exchange, a first-of-its-kind national database of verified scholarship programs, developed with foundational support from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. The Exchange provides critical infrastructure for the scholarship field, enabling providers to benchmark programs, analyze trends, and make data-informed decisions. By the end of 2024, the Exchange included over 22,000 verified scholarship opportunities made available to students through NSPA's data partners, significantly improving access and visibility. Continued on Schedule O. In 2024, NSPA also launched a state-level partnership model beginning with Florida, resulting in the state's first comprehensive scholarship landscape report and the development of a Florida-specific database for residents. This replicable model is designed to be scaled nationwide to improve local and regional access to scholarships, while also contributing to national insights and best practices.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $1.3M to $3.3M (+147%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2020 5%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
57% of National Scholarship Providers Association’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (81% for the typical peer).
