Mission

Nashville youth sports club, inc (dba stars basketball club) is an organization that exists to promote the discovery of jesus christ through sports. The mission of stars basketball is: planting seeds for christ through basketball. We bring christian leaders, athletes, and the community they serve together through the universal language of sports while promoting growth in mind, body, and soul. As a non-denominational christian sports ministry, we offer programs designed to give athletes a place to strive for higher performance and excellence. We cultivate valuable resources to aid in planning and executing first class, organized, and detailed sports training and offerings. The 360 progression, a uniquely designed total sports experience that adapts and expands as players develop and grow in their personal journey, is primarily used to accomplish our mission. The 360 progression includes comprehensive training and instruction that increases in intensity as they improve and enriches their

Programs

  1. Nashville youth sports club (dba stars basketball club)provides year-round basketball opportunities for 1st-12th grade athletes, boys & girls, through team play, programming (camps and clinics), tournaments, and leagues, but the club places a high priority on providing a more than experience. This impact is seen both on and off the court. Stars has the desire to impact athletes: mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially.

  2. The stars shooting lab, which offers sessions year around. We purchased multiple dr. Dish ct shooting machines to offer specialized training for athletes to experience maximized shot repetitions with instant instruction and feedback. The stars shooting lab now features four dr. Dish ct shooting machines. Coaching staff is on-site to provide coaching, feedback, and encouragement. This program is offered to elementary age athletes through college level athletes. This program allowed elite athletes to book sessions to improve their shooting during the off season, weekends, and in their free time. We incorporate scripture connected to sports through a stars lab newsletter, and also through the lab core teaching points: foundation, balance, and finish. Another shooting lab product, lab plus(+), includes time on the shooting machines, speed/agility training, and time on a vertimax machine. The lab plus(+) product is a small-group workout (no more than five athletes), and targets upper-elementary age athletes through high school athletes. 30 minute sessions will be offered year-round.

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $90k → $500.

2 of 6 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 17% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

How concentrated its funding is

NASHVILLE YOUTH SPORTS CLUB INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 65% of grant income and the top three 96%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

99% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund NASHVILLE YOUTH SPORTS CLUB INC.
