The mighty river project provides income through the purchase of ugandan craft products, and further supports the women who create these products with access to medical care through local clinics, payment of school fees in local schools, and mentoring and personal growth programs. These supports allow each family to be strengthened and kept together, making each family unit less vulnerable over time.

Programs
Craft product payment- the 13 women who participate in the mighty river artisan program have financial need based on socioeconomic and/or health status. They handcraft traditional ugandan products, which we purchase from them at fair prices. This income allows them a dignified way to provide for the families, alleviating their poverty. This allows mighty river project to accomplish the primary tax exempt purpose of giving vulnerable families the means to keep their families together and their children out of institutional care. This benefits the 13 artisans and their family members
