Program
Methodist Research Institute, Inc. ("Methodist Research Institute") plays an integral role in Indiana University Health, Inc.s ("IU Healths") mission of improving the health of its patients and community by supporting innovative research in a number of important areas. The Clinical Research Group, in addition to providing clinical research support to the investigators at IU Health Methodist Hospital and embracing the initiative forged among IU Health, the Indiana University School of Medicine, and the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, is also expanding its services to other hospitals beyond IU Health Methodist Hospital. The clinical research nurses of Methodist Research Institute also provide study management from the early planning stages through subject enrollment, the procurement of specimens, and the collection and documentation of data at IU Health North Hospital and IU Health Saxony Hospital. The Biorepository at Methodist Research Institute, under IRB approval, collects human biological materials (blood, bone, tissue, urine) vital for medical research to provide the best way to study a variety of diseases and their potential treatments.
