What Mercy Medical Corporation does

Mission

We, mercy medical and trinity health, serve together in the spirit of the gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. In the tradition of the sisters of mercy, we are committed to continuing the healing ministry of jesus christ through community-based health care services which address the whole person within a culture of inclusion.

As stated on its FY2021 Form 990.

Program

Mercy Medical Corporation has been serving the residents of southwest alabama since 1949. Mercy medical's lifecare program is a prepayment of future long-term care costs. Benefits of lifecare include management of the transition of care and no increase in monthly fees, regardless of the level of care. Lifecare residents enter at the independent living stage and as they age and as their needs increase, their monthly fees do not.over the past several years mercy medical has been winding down. Mercy medical contracts with mercy life of alabama, a related tax-exempt organization, to provide the lifecare services to the residents. As of may 2021, there were no remaining residents in the lifecare program. Mercy medical merged with mercy life of alabama on december 31, 2021.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990, which lists programs largest first by expense.
