01What it does

What Manna Scholarship Fund Inc does

Mission

To provide treatment scholarships to individuals at four levels of care: Residential, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient. These scholarships encompass issues related to eating disorders, trauma/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and many other mental health issues anxiety, depression, loss, etc.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

On its FY2025 return the organization reported a significant change in how it conducts a program.

Refer to Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4a.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 3).

  1. Manna continued to receive fewer clients during 2025, to the point that we had to shut down our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) by the end of the year, as we only had one client in our Eating Disorder IOP and one client in our Adolescent IOP. We had a completion of 395 client intakes this year versus 646 last year. Our outpatient program continued to grow and maintain the business through 2025. Due to the drop in client intakes, therapist loss, and loss of income, we have actively tried to find a new operator (individual, hospital, or other for-profit program). We billed 5191 outpatient visits, 1126 IOP visits, and 178 PHP visits.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 2 funders to 3 funders, grant income rose $20k → $96k.

4 of 8 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 33% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Manna Scholarship Fund Inc’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 7 of 8 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

Manna Scholarship Fund Inc leans on a few funders — its largest provides 49% of grant income and the top three 84%; half comes from just 2 funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left

33% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Manna Scholarship Fund Inc.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $288k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
