What Love Your Story - Molly's House does

Mission

We provide respite and belonging for families impacted by disabilities. Let's create a world where everyone - including families impacted by disabilities - can rest and belong in our communities and in our schools.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Housing - lys provides free, temporary housing when families impacted by disabilities are traveling to gainesville, ga to receive treatment for their child. During the stay the family is served meals, coffee, paper products, or anything needed to make their stay successful.

    $129,289 spent
    100% of program spending
  2. Community - love your story is starting quarterly meetups for moms and caregivers of kids with disabilities: meetups where caregivers can show up and feel seen. No need to worry about people not getting it. No need to explain things. These meetups are opportunities to connect with other families who get it. We anticipate this program to begin in 2025.

  3. Education - we're starting with a disability 101 newsletter for k-5 students in gainesville, ga. Eventually, we want to bring disability education to communities everywhere. We anticipate this program to begin in 2025.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.

3 of 6 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 26% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of LOVE YOUR STORY - MOLLY'S HOUSE’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

LOVE YOUR STORY - MOLLY'S HOUSE leans on a few funders — its largest provides 63% of grant income and the top three 82%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

89% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund LOVE YOUR STORY - MOLLY'S HOUSE.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Where its funders are

100% of LOVE YOUR STORY - MOLLY'S HOUSE's grant income comes from Georgia funders.

GA

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $62k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
