Mission

The Living Redemption Youth Opportunity Hub is a community-based initiative serving youth, families, and communities in the New York City area.

Program

  1. Living Redemption provided comprehensive services to youth and families across multiple New York City communities in 2024. During the year, the organization served approximately 2,368 youth and 800 plus families. In addition to these core services, Living Redemption addressed food insecurity by distributing food to 3,539 individuals through initiatives such as NeighborhoodSTAT and the Family Enrichment Center. Community outreach efforts were robust, engaging nearly 7,000 individuals through events like the Juneteenth celebration, Grow with Google (Google Suite Training) workshops, and toy distributions. These outreach activities not only expanded our reach but also fostered stronger community connections and access to resources. Notably, the organization supported 37 individuals in securing employment and celebrated 9 college enrollment, reflecting our commitment to positive, measurable outcomes. These quantitative indicators supplement the narrative in Part III and help demonstrate the scope and effectiveness of our programs.

Who funds it, year by year

2021 → 2023: the base broadened from 4 funders to 5 funders, grant income rose $176k → $1.3M.

1 of 9 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 0% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Living Redemption Community Development Corp’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 8 of 9 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

Living Redemption Community Development Corp leans on a few funders — its largest provides 71% of grant income and the top three 98%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

73% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Living Redemption Community Development Corp.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $9k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
