01What it does

What Living Inclusively for Everyoneinc does

Mission

The living inclusively for everyone, inc., a/k/a life, mission is to promote the inclusion of persons with developmental disabilities into all aspects of their natural community.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Fit 4 life is a weekly fitness and wellness program which encourages exercise and healthy eating habits. While individuals with dd are more likely to be obese, to have diabetes and high blood pressure they engage in exercise and other healthy behaviors less frequently than individuals without disabilities. Exercise and activity are critically important to offset the weight gain that is partially attributable to the many medications that many adults with dd must take.

  2. Rad or recreation for adults with disabilities is a free summer program that runs five days per week and serves more than 30 families. The school year comes to an end and many broward county residents with developmental disabilities (dd) are left with nothing to do during the day. Many of their parents would have to miss work in order to stay home with their adult children who cannot remain at home independently. The rad summer program eases the burden on family members and ensures that individuals with dd do not languish at home but are out in the community as active participants in all that broward county has to offer.

  3. Leap's goal is to improve the overall quality of life of each participant by having him or her become an active and contributing member of society. To this end, leap's curriculum and activities will develop life skills with a particular focus in areas of health & fitness and social & community engagement. Each participant will be encouraged to become involved in communuity and volunteer opportunities. The training, activities, and routine established shall be meaningful to the participant and provide an appropriate level of variation and interest. The expectation is to achieve individually determined goals and support participation in less restrictive settings.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $128 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
