01What it does

What Just1 International Mission Inc does

Mission

Just1 International is a non-profit organization combating exploitation and trafficking through advocacy, education, and providing restorative care to rescued survivors. Just1 activates communities to collectively fundraise, create awareness, and rally support for sustainable anti-exploitation efforts. In the U.S., donations are utilized to fund prevention efforts, bringing education and awareness to equip communities to combat exploitation. Internationally, donations are sent to our local partner organizations, which run prevention, rescue, and restoration programs for at-risk populations and survivors of exploitation in their surrounding communities. We prove the outcomes of donations sent using photos, impact stories, and information about the community served.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. In Kenya, we are partnered with a local Kenya-based NGO to provide long-term restorative care to girls and young women who have been rescued from sexual exploitation, gender-based violence, forced early childhood marriage, female genital mutilation, and other forms of abuse.

  2. We educate and equip communities in the U.S. to prevent and combat exploitation and trafficking through our online resources, awareness campaigns, and interactive live presentations. Our goal is to culturally reclaim the core belief that all human beings have inherent worth and are deserving of honor as we address issues that perpetuate exploitation, such as pornography, objectification, and hyper-sexualized media and marketing.

  3. As an arm of our Community Education Program, we give prevention presentations at schools, churches, and a variety of events to educate youth to guard against the tactics of predators and to equip adults to protect the children and youth in their lives from exploitation and trafficking. We educate on topics such as online safety, how to recognize the red flags of grooming, what to do if you think you are being groomed, how to minimize the risk of becoming a target, the top recruitment tools and tactics used by predators, and more.

2 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of JUST1 INTERNATIONAL MISSION INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

JUST1 INTERNATIONAL MISSION INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 95% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund JUST1 INTERNATIONAL MISSION INC.

Largest funder’s share by year: 2019 100% · 2020 100% · 2021 97% · 2022 100% · 2023 100% — broadly stable.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of JUST1 INTERNATIONAL MISSION INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $14k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
