What Jordancon Inc does
Mission
Fundraising for the Mayo Clinic
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Programs
JordanCon holds a 3 day convention every April. This fan convention was founded because of the works of Robert Jordan, a well-known fantasy author. He developed amyloidosis, a condition that eventually killed him, and JordanCon then added the focus of fundraising for amyloidosis research at the Mayo Clinic 501c3 as a way of honoring the author. As a result, JordanCon now hosts several fundraising events at its annual convention whose proceeds go, in full or in part, to amyloidosis research at the Mayo Clinic such events include our charity auction, gaming events, an art show auction, and more. For our 2022 event, we raised $21.03/attendee, for a total of $19,808.61 that was sent to Mayo Clinic.
JordanCon's largest program is its annual convention. This three day, fan-run literary convention is held in Atlanta, GA, every April. Its primary focus is its programming, which involves more than ten rooms of educational discussion and instruction about literature and adjacent topics, such as art and the writing process. Other aspects of the event include three different sales areas highlighting authors, artists, and vendors media recordings from literature-focused media outlets book signings for visiting authors as well as different social gatherings designed to facilitate discussions about literature and provide social bonding opportunities for a diverse crowd of readers. We also host many in-person fundraising events to support amyloidosis research at the Mayo Clinic see description of program service 1 for more details. This year's attendance was just over 1000 attendees from a variety of states and countries, all fans of literature eager to learn from professionals and discuss their knowledge about their favorite series with other fans.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2022, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2022, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $80k to $42k (−47%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
0% of JORDANCON INC’s revenue is contributions — more earned-revenue than three-quarters of its peers (64% for the typical peer).
Surplus & reserves
