What Indiana Immunization Coalition Inc does

Mission

The indiana immunization coalition exists to reduce the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases through immunization education, advocacy, promotion, and statewide collaborative partnerships.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Iic provides statewide mobile vaccine clinics in collaboration with schools, universities, churches, assisted living facilities, and many other community partners. In addition, iic provides a weekly walk-in clinic at the home office/clinic space located at 6919 e 10th st., indianapolis. At this site, approximately 50 to 100 patients are vaccinated each week. Iic's clinic program is innovative since it seeks to eliminate the access, financial, and culural/language barriers to health care that many families face. Specifically , access is improved as clinics are held at convenient sites and during convenient hours within communities. Patients who are under or uninsured, are offered all needed vaccines at no cost to them. Language interpreters are on site to facilitate communication between staff and patients. Overall, during fy 24-25, iic administered 58,224 vaccines to 15,837 patients in 342 clinics statewide. Of these patients, 73% reported as under or uninsured and received all needed vaccines at no cost. This represents a 12% increase in patients from the previous fiscal year.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2020 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 5 funders, grant income rose $102 → $74k.

6 of 11 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 83% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of INDIANA IMMUNIZATION COALITION INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 10 of 11 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

INDIANA IMMUNIZATION COALITION INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 53% of grant income and the top three 82%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

90% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund INDIANA IMMUNIZATION COALITION INC.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How long its funders stay

60% of INDIANA IMMUNIZATION COALITION INC's funders are still giving 1 year after their first grant; 36% give in more than one year at all.

Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.

Where its funders are

83% of INDIANA IMMUNIZATION COALITION INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $51k that is directly attributable, 60% of it comes from Indiana funders.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $248k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
