01What it does

What IMMIGRANTS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION DBA LA Community Aid does

Mission

LA Community Aid (LACA) empowers socially and economically oppressed members of greater Los Angeles by equipping them with tools to overcome job insecurity, food insecurity, and houselessness. In doing so, we enable our community not simply to survive, but to thrive: to regain their footing with full-time jobs, steady income, and the self-confidence needed to maintain and build on these accomplishments.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. Throughout 2025, LA Community Alliance (LACA) distributed food aid to underserved communities, provided health coordinator volunteer services, conducted street cleanup and organized neighborhood beautification campaigns, ran the annual toy drive for vulnerable kids and families, and offered service and labor-hour earning opportunities to court-appointed individuals.

2 of 11 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 17% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

How concentrated its funding is

IMMIGRANTS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION DBA LA Community Aid has a broad base — no single funder exceeds 30% of grant income, and it takes 3 funders to reach half.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 3 funders to its left

32% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund IMMIGRANTS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION DBA LA Community Aid.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $14k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
