What Imago Por Las Artes Inc does
Mission
Imago por las artes is a non-profit, inclusive, and multicultural organization based in miami - florida, dedicated to facilitating access to culture for people of all ages through the production and promotion of artistic, educational, and recreational events and programs in all its manifestations: art, theater, music, and literature, with emphasis on the values and traditions of hispanic culture in a creative, pleasant, and integrated way. Vision "to be the driving force behind a cultural revolution, where the arts are celebrated as essential elements of human expression, fostering empathy, understanding, and unity among diverse populations, and shaping a more harmonious and enlightened society."
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
The "miami children's storytelling festival" project consists of the creation, assembly, and presentation of stories narrated by children between the ages of seven (7) and twelve (12) with an interest in the hispanic language and traditions for the preservation of oral tradition as cultural heritage. The project spanned ten (10) weeks, starting on january 8 and ending on march 19, 2023. Before that, there was a two (2) month stage in which the call was developed. We began the project from scratch and culminated with a festival-style staging featuring one (1) presentation open to the community. As part of the project, we created a handmade book that contains all the stories written by the children.
To promote in children the development of illustration as a language and tool for expressing ideas, emotions, and reflections that allow them to better understand their social and personal world while also fostering an awareness of environmental care and sensitizing them to the challenges of climate change. The children's illustrators contest was established in 2019 and celebrated its 4th edition in 2023. Initially a local competition, the contest expanded its reach to a global audience in 2021 with the help of technology. Over 150 children, aged 4 to 12, from various parts of the world have participated in the contest. In the 4th edition, we received over 50 illustrations, with prizes in three age categories and three special mentions. The 4th edition of the contest had the theme of "evoking places," with a focus on the breathtaking natural landscapes of our planet. The aim was to encourage participants to showcase their interpretation of their favorite natural landscapes and their imagined places. We concluded the 2023 contest by showcasing over 50 works at the coral gables museum gallery spaces with an event open to all audiences.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $21k to $39k (+90%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2023 7% · 2024 9% · 2025 20%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
100% of IMAGO POR LAS ARTES INC’s revenue is contributions — more reliant on donations than three-quarters of its peers (64% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
2 of 6 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 22% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

How concentrated its funding is
IMAGO POR LAS ARTES INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 41% of grant income and the top three 84%; half comes from just 2 funders.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left
71% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund IMAGO POR LAS ARTES INC.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of IMAGO POR LAS ARTES INC's grant income comes from Florida funders.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $15k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
