01What it does

What Heroes in Waiting Inc does

Mission

To equip all youth with anti-bullying and peace-building resources and empower them with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to influence positive change in themselves, their schools and communities and beyond.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. The accomplishmetns of heroes in waiting is more than an anti-bullying program. We are a movement dedicated to the mental wellness of children everywhere, and to creating a safe environment for them to learn and grow. We unsubscribe to the labels of "bully- and "victim." we understand that kids who engage in bullying behavior many times are acting out of their own trauma and fear, and that both they and kids who are harassed need the loving support of peers and grownups. In 2024, we provided free downloadable 12-lesson anti-bullying and peace-building curriculum to 179 educators, representing 135 schools and youth programs, 35 parents/caregivers, and 9 youth. We presented 23 assemblies, reaching 8233 students. We also provide resources for schools, youth programs and families which include videos, articles, an anti-bulling contract, and involvement in the community all to support children's mental wellness.
