01What it does

What Healing Arizona Veterans does

Mission

Healing Arizona Veterans sponsors the treatment of military veterans suffering from combat related traumatic brain injury (tbi) and post-traumatic stress disorder (ptsd). The treatment utilizes hyperbaric oxygen therapy at private facilities.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. Healing Arizona Veterans (hav) sponsored hyperbaric oxygen (hbot) treatments and adjunctive therapies for 54 military veterans suffering from combat related tbi, ptsd and exposure to burn pit toxins. Each veteran was initially evaluated for treatment based on the extent of their brain injury and exposure to burn pit toxins from open air combustion of military waste. Individual treatment plans were prescribed for each veteran. In 2023, hav paid for 2,382 hbot sessions. The adjunctive therapies included nutritional supplements.

1 of 6 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 0% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $106 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
