What Grand Staff Ministries Inc does
Mission
We will promote the gospel of jesus christ, educating others with regards to individually knowing christ and making him known, and practically meeting physical, mental, and emotional needs of hurting people everywhere.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
Grand staff ministries, inc funded and oversaw the operation of shepherd's care facility in eswatini, africa, including an orphanage with two care homes, a preschool for 4 and 5 year olds, and a church. Care homes: a total of 23 girls lived in the shepherd's care homes, which covered their shelter, food, clothing, medical/dental needs & education. One girl who had challenges raising fyers (chickens) was enrolled in a community agricultural class to help ensure when she starts a new layers (chickens) project, she'll have better success. The support system for the care homes includes house parents, office staff, a gardener, security guards, vehicle maintenance, & visits from the us founders to train and encourage. This amount includes travel for three trips to eswatini in 2025 to assist in and oversee the work that is sustained by native people.
$152,093 spent$48,490 earned by the program78% of program spendingEducation: forty children attended little lambs preschool, obtaining a head start in learning and in knowing jesus. Each child recieved two meals a day. Gsm also paid for tuition, fees, supplies, uniforms, shoes, and transportation for 9 children to attend elementary and high school in the village of sipete and a few other villages in eswatini, plus one of those attended skills training at the school for the deaf where he's learning car repair, woodworking and electrical work. Additionally, 5 students were financially assisted to attend post-secondary training (trade school or university), including room & board as needed.
$31,033 spent$19,620 earned by the program16% of program spendingCharity: the church on site provided community and support for up to 60 children on sundays, over 20 women, and a few men. This is crucially important in the village, since it's a 45 minute drive from town, and care ownership is nearly nonexistent. Nine women from the church continued to make and sell baskets at fair trade prices. These baskets were then resold at grand staff thrift boutique in buhler, ks. This income for the women is one of the rare job opportunities in the remote village. Under the guidance of an effective youth pastor, the church had a thriving youth group that grew in their faith and shared the gospel with their families and friends. They attended a special conference as a christmas celebration and gift to them. Gsm distributed food to hungry families and hygiene products to women and children, funding for emergency healthcare was provided as needs became apparent. Two other formerly sponsored young men were given financial assistance to help them thrive. Church supplies, funeral assistance, and special easter and christmas services/meals were also provided from these funds.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2019, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2019, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $276k to $377k (+36%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
67% of GRAND STAFF MINISTRIES INC’s revenue is contributions — more earned-revenue than three-quarters of its peers (100% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $189 → $149.
2 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of GRAND STAFF MINISTRIES INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
GRAND STAFF MINISTRIES INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 88% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund GRAND STAFF MINISTRIES INC.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2020 100% · 2021 100% · 2022 100% · 2023 100% — broadly stable.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of GRAND STAFF MINISTRIES INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $8k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
