01What it does

What Florida Goodwill Association Inc does

Mission

Promotion of social welfare throughout the state of florida, particularly the welfare of individuals with barriers to employment.

As stated on its FY2021 Form 990.

Program

The florida goodwill association is comprised of nine autonomous goodwill agencies, each serving the people of a multi-county region. These organizations share a common mission: to help floridians overcome barriers to employment and become self-sufficient. Through goodwill's services, people who depend on tax dollars become tax payers, reducing the burden on the state and empowering our program participants with dignity and self-worth.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990, which lists programs largest first by expense.

Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.

Left out of every figure on this page: $319k from 4 payers (the payer shares this organization's board, largest Goodwill Industries International Inc). These are real filings, and they are not money FLORIDA GOODWILL ASSOCIATION INC raised.

From the IRS filings of FLORIDA GOODWILL ASSOCIATION INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

FLORIDA GOODWILL ASSOCIATION INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 49% of grant income and the top three 82%; half comes from just 2 funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left

95% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund FLORIDA GOODWILL ASSOCIATION INC.
