What Filipino Association of Greater Kansas City does
Mission
The Filipino Association of Greater Kansas City is a not-for-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization established to preserve, promote, and enhance filipino culture through education and cultural arts and to provide service to the community at-large.

Programs
The ethnic festival is a project initiated by the city of kansas city ethnic enrichment commission. There are approximately 70 countries represented by the people of each country working together to promote unity. Each country, like the philippines, participates and contributes to the success of this event by promoting their cultures through food, songs, and dances.
$10,288 spent$9,956 earned by the program11% of program spendingThe fiesta filipina is a program designed to commemorate the celebration of the saints in almost every village in the philippines. Each village has its own way of celebration based on the cultures and practices of the region. We re-live the life in the village around the country through foods and festivities. The annual fiesta filipina not only replicates local festivals that reflect on the influence of catholicism in philippine history but also celebrates the independence from spanish rule of close to four centuries declared on june 12 after the historic spanish american war of 1898.
$11,224 spent$17,012 earned by the program12% of program spendingThe filipino association has a cultural/educational/performance group called the sinag-tala performing arts troupe, composed of volunteer members to perform native folk dances to filipino songs in several concerts to the general public with the goal to educate and entertain in spreading greater understanding of the filipino cultural heritage. The troupe has likewise reached out to second and third generation filipino americans and learned about their parent's heritage. The association has also maintained a modest permanent display of philippine artifacts, arts and crafts and a library of filipiniana book collections available for perusal to the general public.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.

How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
74% of FILIPINO ASSOCIATION OF GREATER KANSAS CITY’s revenue is contributions — more donation-reliant than the typical peer (64% for the typical peer).

The officers, directors, trustees and key employees listed on each return. Joined and no longer listed compare each filing with the year before, matching people by surname and first initial; a year after a gap, or a roster under three people, has no comparison.
Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income rose $53 → $83.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of FILIPINO ASSOCIATION OF GREATER KANSAS CITY’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of FILIPINO ASSOCIATION OF GREATER KANSAS CITY's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $315 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
