01What it does

What Dust Bowl Animal Rescue Inc does

Mission

Providing care for rescued animals through foster care until healthy and adopted.

As stated on its FY2018 Form 990-EZ.

Program

We are dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, including dogs, cats, and livestock, from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians and amazing sponsors, our goal is to be able to rescue animals, provide them with temporary loving care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also strive to serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing educations and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter. Positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2020: the base held at 2 funders, grant income rose $1k → $1k.

1 of 5 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 1% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $214 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
