01What it does

What Danny's House does

Mission

To provide safe, supportive and recovery-oriented transitional housing for persons rebuilding their lives from addiction.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. Danny's House is a unique recovery house for women because it provides three essential keys that support and empower residents to achieve long-term recovery:(1) Danny's House subsidizes residents' rent for one to two years so that residents can gain financial stability. Women return to the workforce and are able to save towards future safe housing.(2) Danny's House provides recovery coaching which provides residents with the recovery tools needed to handle life's many day-to-day stressors without resorting to drugs to cope.(3) Danny's House provides wrap-around case management services to assist residents in navigating and connecting to available healthcare, housing, and legal resources.

Who funds it, year by year

2019 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 5 funders, grant income rose $16k → $95k.

2 of 7 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 6% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $28k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
