What Culinary Medicine Specialist Board does
Mission
The organization promotes and manages the curriculum and process required to become a certified culinary medicine specialist, a 60-credit-hour curriculum which includes a distinctive combination of online nutrition education courses, live conferences, and in-person attendances at hands-on teaching kitchen modules. In addition, the organization facilitates medical school, culinary school, and healthcare training programs in the adoption of courseware related to culinary medicine and to create teaching kitchens so that students can learn about diet and lifestyle that bridges the gap between the basic sciences, clinical medicine, the community, and culinary education.
As stated on its FY2023 Form 990.
Program
The largest success has been the certification program. Revenue from participants and expenses are largely related to staff for program management and offering hands-on cooking classes.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2019, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2019, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2019 to 2020, from $73k to $313k (+329%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
