What Covenant Christian School Inc does
Mission
Covenant Home School Resource Center (CHSRC) is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and resources to homeschooling families. Our mission is to equip and encourage parents to embrace their God-given authority as educators, guiding their children to grow into their unique design. We accomplish this through a wide range of essential services and educational resources that address all aspects of home education.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
95 students in grades 3-12 participated in CHSRC's yearlong, hands-on science workshops. These interactive sessions cover age-appropriate scientific topics and are designed to prepare students for advanced coursework in higher education. The workshops also enhance at-home learning by providing lab experiences and experiments that are often difficult to replicate in a homeschool setting.
$15,211 spent$25,414 earned by the program15% of program spendingCHSRC provides in-person homeschool consultations and curriculum assistance to more than 2,000 individuals annually. In addition, we respond to approximately 1,000 phone inquiries each year from homeschooling families seeking guidance and support. Our digital outreach further amplifies our impact. With nearly 4,000 followers on Facebook, plus additional engagement through our website and other online platforms, we maintain an active presence that delivers timely information on curriculum options, current issues affecting homeschoolers, and practical tips to help families make their homeschooling journey affordable, effective, and enriching.
$73,704 spent$118,116 earned by the program74% of program spendingCHSRC is the only location in Arizona equipped to offer large-scale standardized testing to homeschool students in a non-public school setting. This year, we administered the PSAT to 88 high school students and IOWA testing to 104 students in grades 3-12. Families travel from multiple regions across the state to participate in our well-organized and supportive testing environment.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2019, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2019, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2020 to 2021, from $110k to $181k (+65%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2021 8% · 2022 0% · 2023 0% · 2024 0% · 2025 0%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.

Who funds it, year by year
2017 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $10k → $162.
2 of 3 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 94% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of COVENANT CHRISTIAN SCHOOL INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
COVENANT CHRISTIAN SCHOOL INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 92% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
94% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund COVENANT CHRISTIAN SCHOOL INC.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2017 100% · 2020 100% · 2021 99% · 2022 100% · 2023 100% — broadly stable.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
94% of COVENANT CHRISTIAN SCHOOL INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $2k that is directly attributable, 100% of it comes from Arizona funders.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $31k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
