  1. | Explanation:| Sadly our Companions on the Journey community is in the process of dissolving. After nearly 29 years of leading us on a wonderful spiritual journey our dear Spiritual Director has retired as of 12 31 25. During those 29 years we had the opportunity of creating a hybrid community - online and in-person in Palo Alto. We have been beyond excited that after 5 years on Zoom what emerged was a vibrant international community with companions from countries around the world all seeking spiritual truths that transcend the boundaries often found in traditional religious spaces. Our mission at COJ has always been to be a unique community which supports each of us in finding and following our own spiritual path. As we celebrate 29 years as an independent spiritual community we recognize that our longevity was a testament to Fr. Sens inspired spiritual direction and the deep commitment to community by all of our companions. We were inspired by our new companions jumping in to choose readings offer thought-provoking questions on 3rd Sundays participate in the WWG book group help plan community liturgies and attend retreats. 1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of COMPANIONS ON THE JOURNEY’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of COMPANIONS ON THE JOURNEY's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $574 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
