01What it does

What Chikondi Malawi does

Mission

The purpose of Chikondi Malawi is to alleviate suffering and improve the lives of disadvantaged people in africa. This nonprofit organization provides an expression of christ's love for all mankind, and in turn promotes christianity.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. Providing ccys with the funds to feed orphans and vulnerable children. The orphan feeding center in area 51 located outside the capital city of lilongwe, malawi. In 2022 funding from Chikondi Malawi provided breakfast and lunch to 390 to 400 school children between the ages of 6 and 13 every school day. School attendance is mandatory for all children in the feeding program. Without the feeding program many of these children would not be in school.a second priority for ccys is to provide food for the orphans and vulnerable children under six years of age. These younger orphans and vulnerable children are being fed a fortified porridge called likuni phala once per day in the morning. Although they are not in school, they are fed every school day to be on the same schedule as the older children.

2 of 4 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 6% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $6k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
