To improve on the health and well-being of underserved children in our community by providing quality dental care. Emphasis is placed on encouraging personal responsibility, educating about oral health issues, and promoting routine preventative service.

Charlottesville area dental access (cada) provides dental services to low- income children covered by medicaid and famis. There are no costs to the patient. Cada receives medicaid reimbursement but relies on donations and other community support in order to sustain and expand services. In fy 2023, cada performed 20,911 procedures during 5,806 patient visits. These children received restorative and preventative care in accordance with american academy of pediatric dentistry standards and within the framework of medicaid reimbursement rules and regulations.
