01What it does

What Building Carbon does

Mission

Through community partnerships in ecuador, Building Carbon scales up regenerative agroforestry through farmer training and advances the state of the art of bamboo building technology through r&d. We are built on partnerships and collaborations with farmers, builders, researchers, leaders, innovators and community leaders committed to regeneration, sustainability, and positive impact.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. Trained 25 farmers in regenerative agroforestry to transition from chemical based monoculture agriculture. 100% of participants successfully implement practice plots of regenerative agroforestry (no income or grant for this came to Building Carbon, however we supported the facilitation through the rotary foundation and the rfi entity).

    $0 spent
  2. Launched a farmer field school for 100 farmer participants with 10 farmer trainers ("promoters"). Promoters completed a training of trainers in regenerative agroforestry methods

    $0 spent
  3. Fabricated massbu beams to field test the composite strength of glued vs bolted beams. Glued beams were 1.6x stronger.

    $0 spent

The 3 programs described on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ. Program spending in total: $0.
