01What it does

What Brody Borlaug Foundation does

Mission

Brody Borlaug Foundation (bbf) is an oregon domestic nonprofit organization. Bbf raises money to endow a professorship in pediatric immunology at doernbecher children's hospital to support and enhance the blood, cancer, and bone marrow transplant programs. Bbf also supports other local nonprofits. Bbf is dedicated to bringing pediatric immunology to doernbecher children's hospital and providing the children of our region the opportunity for a healthy future by removing the barriers that currently exist. Proper and early diagnosis, and access to close-to-home state-of-the-art immunological services. In addition, we strive to raise public awareness and to serve as compassionate advocates on behalf of patients and families to ensure the best possible outcomes and quality of life.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. Every holiday season, the bbf participates in brody's elves, wherein we take donations from our supporters to give christmas gifts to under-privileged families that have at least one child in the blood, cancer, and/or bmt programs at doernbecher for children fighting extreme and sometimes fatal illnesses. The pain and suffering that can be erased for a family for a day when they open gifts from brody's elves is priceless.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of BRODY BORLAUG FOUNDATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of BRODY BORLAUG FOUNDATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $658 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
